According to Khaama Press, this comes as the new school year has just began in Afghanistan. According to the proprietors, the current humanitarian crisis and the country's economic circumstances have negatively impacted the livelihood, therefore most families have shifted their children to public schools, according to Khaama Press. Previously, the Taliban leadership passed an edict prohibiting female pupils in grades six and upwards from attending courses. The girls were also advised to remain at home until the Islamic Emirate made its next decision.
