FIRs have been lodged against all 18 schools for involvement in the malpractice.

Digital Desk: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has suspended the affiliation of 15 private schools across 10 districts of Assam for violating examination protocols. These schools opened the sealed question paper packets on March 20, one day before the exam, which was scheduled for the second session on March 21.

The Assam government will also take action against three provincialised schools for a similar violation of paper leak.

FIRs have been lodged against all 18 schools for involvement in the malpractice.

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu stated that these schools are barred from enrollment of Class XI students for the academic session 2025-26.

The Board has cancelled all remaining HS First Year examinations, originally scheduled from March 24 to 29, following a report of a question paper leak.

In an official order, the board stated, "Since question paper packets were under the custody of respective institutions, the possibility of leaks in other subjects cannot be ruled out. Therefore, we have decided to cancel the remaining exams scheduled from March 24 to March 29, 2025."
