New York: Virtual interaction and Zoom meetings have become a part of our
lives in this new work-from-home culture during this pandemic. Within this new
way of interaction, technical glitches have also become its integral part.
Often during this past year, technical errors and failures in online meetings
have also been a source of both entertainment and embarrassment for many. Even
the big CEOs of tech giant companies and celebrities have experienced this.
In one such instance, the CEO of Google Sundar Pichai was part of a
technical failure when he was participating in a virtual meeting. This happened
when Pichai hosted a virtual interactive session with the famous Muppet
character Kermit the Frog as part of Youtube’s Dear Earth Series.
During the meeting, Pichai somehow failed to unmute his microphone at the
beginning of the conversation. Due to this, he was conversing in the camera
without his audio being heard for some time.

By seeing this, Kermit, in reply said that "Sundar, I think you are on
mute." He further added that "I can't believe I am talking to CEO of
Google and he is on mute."
After knowing this Pichai had to apologize. In reply, he said, "Sorry
Kermit I was on mute. It is wonderful to talk to you. I am a huge fan of you
and The Muppets."
During the rest of the interaction, Pichai also discussed the performance of
the Muppet on Youtube’s Dear Earth series. Moreover, he also said what he and
his children like to watch on the platform.
Further, in a Tweet, Pichai wrote “Always remember to unmute…thanks…”
Pichai’s mute video and his conversation with Kermit which went viral on
social media have become a source of entertainment for millions.
