Team India conferred on Bumrah the prestigious ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year 2024 prize because of his exceptional bowling skills which contributed substantially to his previous season's achievements.
Jasprit Bumrah joined six other Indian cricketers when he received the ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year award. Bumrah secured 71 Test match wickets during 2023 from 13 matches to become the leading bowler in the format. His return to cricket following a back injury rehabilitation became a landmark moment in Indian cricket history because of his stunning achievements.
Upon return to Test cricket Bumrah immediately exhibited his distinctive bowling talent toward the conclusion of 2023. Bumrah secured the bowlers' leadership position for test wickets during this period as recognition of his unbeatable ability in test matches.
Bumrah joins India's cricket legend group after winning the ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year award alongside Rahul Dravid and other honorable winners Gautam Gambhir Virender Sehwag Ravichandran Ashwin and Virat Kohli.
