Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a popular TV actress and singer named Amreen Bhat died in a terrorist attack in Budgaon district in Jammu and Kashmir, while her nephew was injured after being hit with a bullet.

The incident reportedly occurred in the Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district at 7.55 pm on Wednesday.

According to reports, Amreen Bhat and her 10-year-old nephew, identified as Farhan, were fired upon by terrorists outside their home at Kongoipora-Hushroo. However both of them were rushed to hospital but Amreen succumbed to her injuries.

The Kashmir Police took their official Twitter handle to announce that at least three terrorists of banned terror group LeT were involved in this heinous terror incident.


Reportedly, the boy, who received a bullet wound in his arm in the attack, is said to be stable. At Chadoora Hospital, he is receiving treatment. Following the incident, Amreena was also rushed to the Chadoora hospital, and due to her critical condition, she was referred to the SMHS hospital in Srinagar. However, she died on the way.

Notably, Dr Kanwaljeet Singh, the medical superintendent at SMHS hospital, informed that Amreen was brought dead to the hospital.

It may be mentioned that the reason for the attack is yet to be ascertained. The artist has sung several songs and performed on them, which are available on YouTube and other social media platforms.
