As per reports, around 700 Indian students have been stuck in Sumy due to Russia-Ukraine Crises

Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, official sources said. Reportedly, during the talk, PM Modi stressed the significance of safe evacuation of Indian citizens from war-torn Ukraine's Sumy as soon as possible. As per reports, around 700 Indian students have been stuck in Sumy due Russia-Ukraine Crises. Moreover, official sources said that the prime minister was pleased with the announcement of a ceasefire and the installation of humanitarian corridors in several districts of Ukraine, including Sumy. Earlier this week, Russian authorities announced a ceasefire on Monday and that humanitarian corridors would be opened in important Ukrainian cities such as Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Sumy. Modi also encouraged Putin to undertake direct talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in addition to the ongoing negotiations between their teams during the 50-minute phone call, according to the official sources. According to reports, the two leaders spoke about the changing situation in Ukraine, with Putin briefing Modi on the progress of negotiations between Ukrainian and Russian delegations. Notably, it was the third telephonic conversation between the two leaders since the Russian invasion in Ukraine began 11 days ago.
