Amid rising tension between Russia and Ukraine, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II showed support towards Ukraine by providing a considerable donation for the aid victims in Ukraine.

Digital Desk: In the midst of the worsening crisis in Ukraine, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom has spoken out in support of the victims. The 95-year-old king, according to People, recently donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukraine appeal to aid citizens affected by Russia's military campaign. "Many gratitude to Her Majesty The Queen for her continued support of the Disasters Emergency Committee and for her generous donation to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal," the group stated. Before Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, met with Ukrainians in London and emotional met. The conflict escalated after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a military operation in Ukraine on February 24 and warned other countries that interfering with the Russian action would result in "consequences they have never seen," and thousands of Ukrainians, both civilians and troops, have been killed since then.
