Digital Desk: The Russian Military declared a ceasefire in Ukraine at 0700 GMT and agreed to provide humanitarian corridors for the protection and well-being of civilians. According to Sputnik, Russia made this choice after its President Vladimir Putin spoke over the phone with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday. The humanitarian corridors will open at 12:30 p.m., according to IST. The French President also stated that he had "no reason to believe that the Ukrainian army is putting civilians in danger".  However, Vladimir Putin assured French President Emmanuel Macron that Moscow intended to achieve its goals in Ukraine by diplomatic or armed methods. Putin assured Macron, according to AFP, that Russia will achieve its goals in Ukraine "either via diplomacy or by violence." The ceasefire would be declared at 12:30 pm IST today.
