Shahid Afridi tweeted, "Urging the #UN to take notice of unjust and illegitimate trials of Kashmir leaders.
Digital Desk: Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi has backed Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik and accused India of silencing critics of human rights violations.
Yasin Malik is accused of plotting a criminal conspiracy, waging war against the country, engaging in other illegal actions, and upsetting the peace in Kashmir.
"India's efforts to suppress those who speak out against its flagrant human rights violations are ineffective."
Fabricated charges against Yasin Malik will not stop #Kashmir's fight for independence.
Shahid Afridi tweeted, "Urging the #UN to take notice of unjust and illegitimate trials of Kashmir leaders."
Indian cricketer Amit Mishra slammed Afridi's tweet shortly after it was posted.
He stated that Afridi must quit deceiving the public, as he did with his birthdate.
"Dear @safridiofficial
he himself has pleaded guilty in court on record. Not everything is misleading
like your birthdate," wrote Mishra on his Twitter.
