Digital Desk: The makers of ‘Jhund,’ starring Amitabh Bachchan, have finally set a release date for the film. Reportedly, on March 4, Nagraj Manjule’s biographical sports drama will be released in the theatres.
Earlier, ‘Jhund’ was planned to be released in theatres on May 8, 2020, but due to the coronavirus, it was postponed. Moreover, its distribution on OTT platforms was also halted due to copyright issues.
Announcing the release date of the film Big B shared a poster of the film featuring himself and wrote, “Iss toli se muqaabla karne ke liye raho taiyaar! Humari team aa rahi hai..."
Surprisingly, ‘Jhund’ will clash with the Hollywood movie ‘The Batman,’ which is also set for its theatrical release on March 4.

In December 2018, Big B began shooting for the film ‘Jhund.’ Nagraj Manjule and Big B collaborated for the first time. With Jhund, Nagraj Manjule, the director of Sairat, makes his Bollywood directorial debut.
As per reports, the movie has been delayed for approximately two years due to the coronavirus outbreak. The film is based on Vijay Barse, a retired sports instructor and founder of the Nagpur-based
NGO Slum Soccer.
Bachchan’s upcoming film, Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, is also anticipated by fans. The film will be released in September of this year.
