Those holding accreditation for the Cannes Film Festival 2023 can access the online ticket office on the official website of the Cannes Film Festival. However, according to estimates in international media, these tickets cost between $6,100 and $25,000. Those wishing to attend Cannes for free are apparently able to do so by attending open-air movies at the Cinéma de la Plage every evening from at 9:30 p.m. 

Do the Winners of the Cannes Receive Prize Money?

The question of whether or not Cannes Film Festival winners receive prize money has been asked often throughout the years. The answer may not be so straightforward. While Cannes is all about the glitz, glamour, name, and glory, winners of some specific recognition do receive monetary compensation. 

According to The Sun, the reward for winning the Palme d'Or the Grand Prix is mostly exposure and prestige. However, during La Semaine de la Critique, some cash prizes are set aside for films.

According to The Sun's 2018 report, the Leica Cine Discovery Prize for Short Film awards £3,500, while the Louis Roederer Foundation Rising Star award awards £4,400 to the best actor or actress in their first film.

Besides that, according to the publication, there is also a prize given to a first-time filmmaker to help with the distribution of their picture in France - The Gan Foundation award for Distribution gives £17,600 in exchange for a marketing strategy.
