    Digital Desk: The 69th Filmfare Awards over the weekend marked the beginning of Bollywood's award season. Celeb couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor took up the top acting awards at this year's Gujarat-based award ceremony. In Rocky Aur, Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Alia Bhatt got the Best Actress award for her performance, and her husband Ranbir Kapoor won the Best Actor award for his outstanding work in Animal. 


    With a total of six trophies, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal led the pack, while Vidhu Vino Chopra's 12th Fail took home several of the evening's major honors, including Best Director and Best Film. Vikrant Massey took home the Best Actor prize in the Critics category for 12th Fail. Meanwhile, Shefali Shah and Rani Mukherji shared the Best Actress (Critics) honors for Three of Us and Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway, respectively.


    Vicky Kaushal received Best Supporting Actor for his powerful performance in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. Kaushal was also nominated for Best Actor (Critics) for his work in Sam Bahadur. The Lifetime Achievement Award was granted to filmmaker David Dhawan. The actor Aditya Rawal from Faraaz took home the Best Debut (Male) trophy. Alizeh Agnihotri, a farrey actress, took up the Best Debut (Female) trophy.
