Digital Desk: In Aanand L Rai's upcoming film Tere Ishk Mein Kriti Sanon joins Dhanush alongside her. An enchanting promotional clip revealed Kriti Sanon as a new cast member on Tuesday. During her first cinematic appearance, Mukti views an emotional yet moving sequence where she uses petroleum in eerie preparation to ignite her[intentionally burns herself]. The video reveals a surprising reversal when her character uses a cigarette to smoke tranquil while occupying a corner seat. Dhanush posted the promo to Instagram where he revealed "Love stories sometimes start thriving after suffering present-day fires."
The filmmakers describe 'Tere Ishk Mein' as a religious continuation of Raanjhanaa through its assessment of unrequited romantic feelings and emotional turmoil. Aanand L Rai directed this movie alongside writer Himanshu Sharma while A.R. Rahman handled the music alongside lyricist Irshad Kamil who contributed his verses to the film. T-Series and Colour Yellow production company, along with Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series and Gulshan Kumar, announced the November 28, 2025 film release date.
In November Kriti joined IFFI 2024 to promote her dream roles at the event. Making a choice with one dream role seems particularly daunting.
