The model said that it took her years of pain before she understood her body dysmorphia and that she wanted to go back to her natural appearance.
Digital Desk: Versace Model Jennifer Pamplona spent nearly $600K on procedures to transform herself into a Kim Kardashian lookalike, and now had to pay $120K for "detransition" back to her former appearance.
As per the reports of the New York Post, in an effort to imitate the celebrity, the 29-year-old model had nearly 40 cosmetic procedures over a 12-year period, but she eventually realised that her joy was just temporary.
Meanwhile, she said to Caters, "People would call me a Kardashian and it started to get annoying." "I had worked and studied and was a businesswoman. I had done all these things and had all these achievements in my personal life, but I was only being recognized because I looked like a Kardashian, "she added.
Pamplona underwent surgery for the first time at the age of 17. At the time, Kardashian was just starting to become more well-known. After her first operation, Pamplona quickly became dependent on operations that would make her appear to be a freshly minted A-lister. Among the more than 40 treatments she underwent were three rhinoplasties and eight operations on her bottom, including butt implants and fat injections to resemble Kim Kardashian's enormous booty.
Her transformation into Kim Kardashian's twin quickly garnered her attention on a global scale; The Post even featured her. She also gathered over a million Instagram followers, but happiness did not come with it.
"I discovered that I was addicted to surgery and procedures, and I wasn’t happy, I was putting filler in my face like I was in the supermarket," Pamplona admitted. "It was an addiction and I got into a cycle of surgery equals fame and money, I just lost control of everything. I went through a lot of hard times," she added.
Pamplona stated that it took her years of distress before she understood her body dysmorphia and that she wanted to go back to her natural appearance.
In Istanbul, she discovered a doctor who offered to help her regain her old appearance.
"I saw how I would look on the computer beforehand, and it was like I was having a rebirth," the model said.
"I had a nose job, a lip lift, cat-eye surgery, a face and neck lift, buccal fat removal, and all of those procedures at once," she stated. "I went into the operation room as one person and I came out as another."
On the other hand, Pamplona claimed issues after the "detransition" process, alleging that illness had caused her to "bleed from her cheeks" for three days. She said, "I believed I was going to die. What the hell have I done with my life, I was asking myself. Thankfully, the brunette is now recovering, although it's still unclear how the treatment will turn out because she still has a lot of swelling and bruises. The Brazilian, though, said she already knew the painful surgery was worth it.
The knowledge that I'm no longer at odds with myself is the best sensation, Pamplona said. "I am now who I wanted to be, and I really now understand the meaning of life."
She said, revealing she is working on a documentary called "Addiction" about the risks of the procedures. "There are people who make [surgery] look good on Instagram, but life isn't ideal, and being addicted to surgery isn't a healthy thing."
The model and a doctor have joined forces to start a foundation in Brazil that will assist people with body dysmorphia.
But my face is gorgeous and now I appear even more beautiful, she added. "I feel like I can help a lot of people with my life story," she said.
Pamplona is currently posting selfies after her "detransition" surgery in an effort to show the unsightly truth about beauty treatments.
