Dobaaraa only had a 2-3% occupancy rate on Day 1. Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati both appear in the movie.
Digital Desk: Dobaaraa, the movie starring Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati, debuted to positive reviews from reviewers. The movie appears to have divided the public, nevertheless.
Dobaaraa, directed by Anurag Kashyap, debuted in theatres on Friday, August 19. Taapsee's acting in the movie has received praise.
However, it appears that the movie was unable to pique viewers' interest. Dobaaraa reportedly only had a 2% to 3% day one theatre occupancy rate. According to reports, a few of the movie's early showings have been cancelled.
A film trade analyst named Sumit Kadel announced the cancellation of Dobaaraa's concerts on Twitter. He wrote on Twitter that "#Dobaaraa is off to an utterly disastrous start at the box office. The film is reporting barely 2-3% occupancy while several early shows are getting cancelled owing to NO AUDIENCE."
When predicting Dobaaraa's box office performance, Kadel also said that the movie might only bring in Rs 20–35 lakh on its first day. And according to him, the film's lifetime revenue might range from Rs. 1.25 to Rs. 1.50 crore. The box office forecast for "Dobaaraa" is 20 to 35 lakhs on its opening day $1.25 to $1.50 billion in lifetime value.
Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap addressed the boycott and cancel cultural calls for Hindi films before the movie's debut. In a cheeky response to a query regarding the boycott craze currently sweeping Bollywood, Taapsee stated, "Please refrain from watching Dobaaraa. I aspire to be on par with Laal Singh Chaddha by Aamir Khan and Raksha Bandhan by Akshay Kumar. I feel excluded. "
"Yes please, I want our film to trend on the boycott hashtag as well," Anurag added in response. Additionally, the pair questioned, "I want to know if those folks who call for a boycott are the ones who even watch films in theaters."
Officially, Dobaaraa is a remake of the 2018 Spanish movie Mirage.
