    Digital Desk: According to data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported a modest increase in daily Covid-19 cases on Saturday, with 7,219 new infections occurring in the nation over the previous 24 hours. The nation had more over 6,000 Covid-19 instances as of yesterday.

    The Ministry reports that 9,651 COVID patients had recovered from the illness in the last day, bringing the nation's overall recovery to 4,38,65,016. At the moment, the recovery rate is 98.68%.

    The statistics updated at 8 am showed that the total COVID death toll increased to 5,27,965 with 33 fatalities on the most recent day, including eight deaths that Kerala reconciled.

    In the previous 24 hours, 3,64,886 COVID samples were analysed. The calculated weekly case positive rate was 2.42 percent. So far, 88.68 crore samples have been examined in the nation.

    25,83,815 doses of the COVID vaccine were administered as part of the national vaccination campaign during this time, bringing the total number of vaccine doses given to far to 213.01 crore.

    On August 7, 2020, the number of COVID-19 infections in India reached 20 lakh, on August 23, 30 lakh, on September 5, 50 lakh, on September 16, on September 28, on October 11, 80 lakh, on November 20, and on December 19, 2020, it reached one million.

    On May 4, 2021, June 23, 2021, and January 25, this year, the nation passed the sombre milestones of two crore cases, three crore, and four crore, respectively.

    All states and UTs have been urged to keep a close eye on cases of influenza-like illness (lLl), SARI, and continual genome sequencing in all hospitals. Additionally, the states have been requested to keep vaccinating all eligible individuals.
