    6 Dead After 6.3 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Nepal; Tremors Felt In Delhi-NCR

    Digital Desk: An earthquake of 6.3 magnitude hit Nepal on Wednesday, killing at least six people in a house collapse incident in Doti district. The earthquakes were also felt in areas of the Delhi-NCR region as well.


    Confirming it, the Chief District Officer of Doti, Kalpana Shrestha, stated that at least six people lost their lives and five were injured.


    "At least six people were killed and five were injured and were being taken to the hospital. Dozens of houses have been damaged with landslides at various locations across the district," the official said.


    The tremor hit at approximately 1.57 am on Wednesday. The  National Center for Seismology stated that Nepal was the epicenter of the earthquake.



    This was the third earthquake in Nepal in the last five hours. According to data from the National Center for Seismology, Nepal had its first earthquake on Tuesday at 8:52 p.m. It then experienced a second earthquake of 3.5 magnitude at 9:41 p.m. At 1.57 am on Wednesday, the third earthquake of 6.3 magnitude struck the nation; tremors of which were felt in Delhi.


    Strong tremors were also felt in regions of North India, including Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. But so far, there have been no reports of casualties, injuries, or property damage.


    Following the brief shocks, several users in the capital city and nearby areas turned to social media sites.
