Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad threaten to kill over 130 hostages if Gaza continues siege

Digital Desk: Al-Quds Brigades of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad on Tuesday issued a similar warning to the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas and said that if Israel is worried about the safety of the hostages, it must stop targeting safe houses and killing civilians in Gaza.

"The Zionist enemy must immediately stop targeting safe homes and killing civilians if it cares about the lives of its soldiers, settlers, and prisoners held by us. Otherwise, just like Ron Arad's destiny forty years ago, the fate of your soldiers and hostages will remain unknown," Islamic Jihad member Abu Hamza stated in a statement posted on the al-Quds Brigades Telegram channel on Monday, reported CNN.

The terrorist group also claims to be holding at least 30 hostages in Gaza.

The terrorist group was referring to Ron Arad, an Israeli Air Force navigator. In 1986, he crashed his fighter plane in Lebanon. He was then kidnapped by the local Shiite terrorist organization Amal and handed over to Hezbollah.

22 years after his disappearance, Arad was announced dead in June 2008 by the Iran-backed terrorist organization.

On Monday night, Hamas made a similar warning, stating that if Israel targets residents of the Gaza Strip, civilian hostages will be executed without warning and the deaths will be broadcast.

Israeli army commanders are apparently among the more than 100 hostages held by Hamas.

Over 900 Israelis and 680 Palestinians have died as a result of the Hamas-Israeli battle, which started with a surprise attack on southern Israeli communities on Saturday morning.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday in a live television address vowed that the Israeli military would attack Hamas with a force "like never before".

“As a PM of Israel, I tell you frankly, difficult days are still ahead of us,” he said.

Soon after, Yoav Gallant, his defense minister, declared that the Palestinian coastal enclave's access to gasoline, food, water, and electricity had been cut off.

According to news agencies, the violence has also claimed the lives of at least 11 Americans, 12 Thais, 10 Nepalis, 2 Ukrainians, 2 French nationals, and 1 British citizen.
