One of such brilliant individuals, who once dominated the list of the richest Asians, is now working as a university professor...

Digital Desk: Every year on September 5, India celebrates Teachers' Day to honour teachers for their contributions and to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the nation's second president. Radhakrishnan used to believe that teachers should be the best minds in the nation.

One of such brilliant individuals, who once dominated the list of the richest Asians, is now working as a university professor and shares his experiences in his classes. Currently, the richest Asian is Mukesh Ambani, with a massive net worth of more than Rs 8,15,515 crore.

However, the billionaire teacher we are talking about was once richer than Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani. University professor Jack Ma, a Chinese business entrepreneur and philanthropist, was once richer than the richest Indian man. The business tycoon's net worth surpassed Mukesh Ambani by Rs 18000 crore in 2020.

Images from Jack Ma's first lecture at the university went viral on social media platforms a few months after he took the position of visiting professor at the University of Tokyo. The billionaire gave lectures to students on management theory.

It's important to note that in addition to the University of Tokyo, Ma also teaches business as an honorary professor at the University of Hong Kong. Following his two-year disappearance from the public eye, Jack Ma made a comeback as a teacher.

Jack Ma taught English at Hangzhou Dianzi University before beginning the journey to become one of the wealthiest people in China. Jack Ma tried various businesses before launching Alibaba, one of the largest e-commerce enterprises in the world.

According to Forbes, Jack Ma's current net worth is $25.8 billion. The billionaire left Alibaba in 2019 and is a member of the Jack Ma Foundation's board of directors. Ma, a veteran investor, recently invested in 1.8 Meters Marine Technology, a new farm technology firm, after returning to China.
