Digital Desk: A 55-year-old man from Maryland, USA, won a $44,000 (almost Rs 33 lakh) lottery prize and attributed his late father's "advice" for the win.
According to a press release, the Washington County player, who goes by the pseudonym "Wezzie Brunswick," said a psychic told him his deceased father wanted him to buy Powerball and Mega Millions tickets.
"My father was an enthusiastic lottery player," he explained to Maryland Lottery.

When his father's "send down" digits proved ineffective, he decided to purchase Quick Pick tickets from a Brunswick store.
He chose random numbers on a ticket he bought for the November 18 drawing, and the majority of them were correct.
According to the statement, four of the five numbers he chose, as well as the MegaBall, ended up matching, earning him the Rs 33 lakh lottery jackpot.
