Digital Desk: According to police, at least five people were killed and up to 18 were injured in yet another mass shooting in the United States. On Saturday evening, the incident occurred at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, which is located at the eastern foot of the Rocky Mountains.

During a press conference, Colorado Springs lieutenant Pamela Castro stated that a suspect was apprehended and was being treated for injuries sustained in the Club Q attack.

Castro explained that they received the initial call about the incident shortly before midnight, according to Reuters.

On Sunday, the nightclub took to Twitter to express its "devastation" at the "senseless attack" on their community. "Our hearts and prayers are with all of the victims, their families, and friends." "We thank the quick actions of heroic customers who subdued the gunman and brought this hate attack to an end," the statement continued.

According to the Reuters report, Club Q describes itself as an "adult-oriented gay and lesbian nightclub," hosting theme nights such as drag shows, DJs, and karaoke.
