    Digital Desk: The terrifying moment a light plane crashed on a road was captured by a dashcam in a car zipping down the highway in Malaysia. As many as eight people on board and two motorists on the ground were killed in the accident.

    The terrifying video shows the plane crashing to the ground and exploding into a massive fireball. Soon, black smoke could be seen rising from the debris.


    Visuals taken at the collision site showed debris lying around, with residences visible in the distance.

    "For now, I can say at least 10 people were killed in the plane crash. Two passing motorists, one in a car and one on a motorcycle, also perished together with the eight on board the plane," police told AFP.

    According to them, one of the victims on the jet was Johari Harun, a state assemblyman for housing and the environment in central Pahang state.

    The aircraft departed Langkawi, a northern tourist island, and traveled west to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, which is located near the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.

    According to a statement from Malaysia's civil aviation authority, there were six passengers and two members of the flight crew on the aircraft when it crashed.

    Civil aviation authority chief Norazman Mahmud said, "No mayday call was made."

    Ibrahim Syahmie Former Malaysian air force member Mohamad Hashim claimed to have seen the plane flying strangely.
