Russia is planning public executions in Ukraine: Report

Bloomberg’s political editor Kitty Donaldson said, “Russia’s intelligence agency, the Federal Security Service, has drafted plans for public executions in Ukraine after cities are captured, per a European intelligence official.”

Digital Desk: According to European intelligence authorities, the Kremlin is plotting public executions in seized Ukrainian cities. Reportedly, the step will be taken to lower the morale of the Ukrainians. Moreover, Russia has prepared anti-protest measures as well as the jail of political opponents.

On the condition of anonymity, a European official stated that he had seen documents from Russia’s spy agency, the Federal Security Service, that proves that the Russians are planning public execution in Ukraine.

On the other hand, in a report, Bloomberg’s political editor Kitty Donaldson said, “Russia’s intelligence agency, the Federal Security Service, has drafted plans for public executions in Ukraine after cities are captured, per a European intelligence official.”

The news comes a week after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine started. Reportedly, the Russian military has already taken control of Europe’s largest nuclear power station Zaporizhzhia.

It announced on social media that operational employees are monitoring the condition of power units, citing the Ukrainian nuclear inspectorate. It also claimed that efforts were being made to ensure that the operations complied with safety rules.

Ukraine’s state emergency agency had earlier announced on Friday that a fire that had broken out in a training building in the plant had been extinguished.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced on Friday, citing Ukraine’s regulatory authorities, that vital equipment at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station was untouched by the event and that radiation levels had not changed.

Meanwhile, Ukraine claimed that the plant in the southeast had been shelled overnight, according to the IAEA.
