The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan matter should be resolved by the Pakistan government, not Afghanistan

Kabul: Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid stated that the matter of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a red-listed organization in Pakistan, is one that Pakistan Prime Minister, Imran Khan's government must resolve, not Afghanistan.

In an interview with Geo News, Mujahid asserted, "The TTP matter has to be dealt with by Pakistan, not Afghanistan. So now, it is up to the Pakistan and Pakistani Ulemas and religious figures, not the Taliban's, to decide on the legitimacy or illegitimacy of their issue and to frame a strategy in response to it."

Earlier, the Taliban clear out that it will not allow any terrorist group to use Afghan soil against Pakistan or other countries.

Further, the Mujahid asserted that if the TTP considers the Taliban as their leader, then they will have to listen to them whether Pakistan likes it or not; it doesn't matter for them.

Notably, TTP terrorists have been released from the prisons in Afghanistan following the Taliban taking control of the country.

When asked about the formation of the new government by Geo News, Mujahid said that the Taliban would announce within a few days.

Mujahid said, "The delay in forming a new government has caused obstacles in everyday operations and also in the matters of trade and diplomacy. So, Taliban has put all their efforts in forming the new government as soon as possible."

He also asserted that the Taliban had taken the guidance of former Afghan President Hamid Karzai, former Chief executive officer Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and others regarding forming a new government in Afghanistan.
