    Earthquake jolts Afghanistan by a 4.3 magnitude in Hindu Kush Region
    The earthquake struck Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, at 2:27 a.m. (Afghanistan Time) at a depth of 10 kilometers.

    Digital Desk: At around 05:23 on Friday morning, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale shook Afghanistan's Hindu Kush region.

    National Center for Seismology tweeted, "Earthquake of Magnitude:4.3, Occurred on 23-09-2022, 05:22:59 IST, Lat: 36.01 & Long: 70.71, Depth: 120 Km, Region: Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan." 

    On September 5, six people were killed and nine others were hurt when an earthquake with a Richter rating of 5.3 struck numerous Afghan regions.

    Six people were killed and nine others were injured in the earthquake in Kunar's Noorgul region, according to a local official in the province.

    Numerous sections of the province saw the destruction of dozens of homes, the official claimed.

    According to the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake's epicenter was Jalalabad, the capital of the eastern Nangarhar province, and it happened at 2:27 AM (Afghanistan Time) at a depth of 10 kilometers (USGS).

    According to preliminary reports, the earthquake shook Kabul, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, and Nuristan, as well as places on the other side of the Durand Line.

    According to the Pakistani newspaper, Dawn, earthquake vibrations were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad, Swabi, Mohmand, Bajour, Buner, and surrounding places.
