Digital Desk: Every year on November 19, the world celebrates International Men's Day. The theme for 2022, according to Internationalmensday.com, is 'Helping Men and Boys'.
The day celebrates the men in our lives and the cultural, political, and social contributions they make to our society. It also recognises the good contributions men make to the world, their families, and communities, and encourages them to be great role models.
Thomas Oaster founded it in February 1992. On November 19, 1999, Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh, a history instructor at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, created the International Men's Day project.
Starting from being a gentlemen to society, a good son to mother, a best brother to sister, a protective and caring husband to the wife, and a caring father to the children, these roles have always been in the shadows or we used to outflank their presence, but they are the source of great comfort and strength in our lives.
