Suicide blast rocks Kabul International cricket stadium during  T20 match
The explosion took place where the spectators sat in the cricket stands while the match was played.

Digital Desk: At least four people were injured after an explosion suspected to be a "suicide bomb" hit the Kabul International Stadium during a domestic T20 league cricket match played in Kabul, reports said.

According to eyewitnesses, the blast occurred during the 22nd Shpagize Cricket League match between two domestic franchise clubs, Pamir Zalmi and Band-e-Amir Dragons, at the Alokoje Kabul International Cricket Ground.

The explosion took place where the spectators sat in the cricket stands while the match was played.

However, both teams' cricket players were soon led inside a bunker. Additionally, UN officials were also present at the stadium during the alleged suicide attack.

The incident was confirmed by the Kabul Police Headquarters, however, no casualties have been reported as of yet.

Since the Taliban-led government took office in August 2021, there have been terrorist attacks in Kabul, and members of the Islamic State group have recently targeted a number of religious sites and landmarks.

Following a second suicide bombing in June, a bombing this week in Kabul near the Karte Parwan Gurdwara by the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) claimed the lives of dozens of Sikhs and Taliban members.
