week of August is marked as World Breastfeeding Week (WBW). The purpose of the
week is to raise awareness of the value and necessity of nursing for both moms
and infants. A worldwide initiative called World Breastfeeding Week tries to
inspire action on issues related to breastfeeding.

than 120 nations observe World Breastfeeding Week, which is organized by the
World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA).

For
new mothers, breastfeeding a newborn is a challenging and emotional experience.
Both mothers and infants value breastfeeding equally in their lives. It
benefits the newborn baby's overall growth as well as the bonding between new
mothers and their children.

According
to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations International

of delivery and last for at least six months. However, the organizations
