Digital Desk: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is facing the possibility of arrest following a raid at his residence, according to leaders from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The situation escalated after Kejriwal refused to comply with the third summons from the Enforcement Directorate related to the Delhi liquor policy case.

AAP leaders raised concerns that the roads leading to Kejriwal's residence have been blocked by Delhi police, signaling a potential crackdown. This development comes after two previous summons on November 2 and December 21, which Kejriwal also declined to attend.

Senior party members, including Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Jasmine Shah, and Sandeep Pathak, took to social media platforms to announce the likelihood of a raid and subsequent arrest. Kejriwal contends that the summons is politically motivated, questioning whether he is being called as a witness or a suspect in the case.

The AAP alleges that this legal action is an attempt to hinder Kejriwal's participation in the upcoming national elections later this year. With three other party leaders already in custody, including Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Satyendra Jain, the AAP has discussed strategies to address such eventualities. Interestingly, there are calls within the party for Kejriwal to continue serving as Chief Minister even if incarcerated.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) claims that liquor companies played a role in formulating the excise policy, designed to yield a substantial profit of 12 percent. The Enforcement Directorate further accuses a liquor lobby known as the "South Group" of paying kickbacks, some of which allegedly reached public servants, leading to money laundering allegations.

As the situation unfolds, political tensions rise in Delhi, with the fate of Arvind Kejriwal hanging in the balance amid accusations of corruption and a potential arrest that could significantly impact the political landscape.
