Rizvi embracing the Sanatan Dharma said it is the world’s purest religion.
“I choose December 6 to convert to Hinduism as on this day the Babri mosque was demolished in 1992.” he added.
Recently, Rizvi faced threat from the Muslim community after he filed PIL in the Supreme Court seeking removal of some verses from the Quran, which he alleged taught violence. However, his appeal was rejected by the Supreme Court.
Moreover, he also received threats after releasing a book that allegedly portrayed Prophet Muhammad badly.
Soon after all the threats from the Muslim community, Rizvi expressed his desire to be cremated according to the Hindi rituals and not buried.
Earlier, in a video, Rizvi mentioned that his Hindu friend, Mahant Narsinghanand Saraswati of the Dasna temple, should light his pyre after his death.
