    Digital Desk: In a tragic incident on Sunday evening, Gujarat Tea Processors and Packers Limited Executive Director Parag Desai passed away at the age of 49 in a private hospital in Ahmedabad.  

    It's been reported that Desai was on a morning stroll at Iscon Ambli Road near his home on October 15 when he was involved in an accident. Desai fled to chase off a few stray dogs during this period when he collapsed.

    He then experienced a severe head injury that resulted in a brain haemorrhage. He was subsequently taken to a private hospital in Ahmedabad, and when his condition started to get worse, he was transferred to another private hospital on Hebatpur Road.

    According to sources close to the family, Desai underwent urgent surgery and was put on a ventilator for seven days before passing unexpectedly. Desai passed away on Sunday night as a result of numerous medical issues.  

    Wagh Bakri Tea is the most well-known brand of Gujarat Tea Processors and Packers Limited. Furthermore, Desai's wife Vidisha and daughter Parisha are left to carry on his legacy.




    The company acknowledged the news in an Instagram post. In its message, the business expressed its regret at having to share the terrible news of Parag Desai's passing. 

    Tech Mahindra MD and CEO CP Gurnani sent his sympathies to Parag Desai's family a few hours after the news of his sudden death went viral. He also highlighted important concerns regarding the problem of stray dogs that is prevalent throughout India.

    Long Island University awarded Parag Desai an MBA. Desai was in charge of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group's sales, marketing, and export departments. He was also a skilled tea taster and assessor.
