    Digital Desk: In a significant development, the Income Tax department has initiated raids on the residences and establishments of prominent shoe traders in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

    Three prominent shoe traders—BK Shoes, Manshu Footwear, and another unidentified trader—are among the targets of the operation; they are all suspected of engaging in tax evasion and other illegal financial activities. The Income Tax squad has been raiding multiple places at the same time, focusing on Agra. 

    Five hours have now passed since the raid began at BK Shoes in Subhash Bazaar and Manshu Footwear at the Dhakaran crossroads. Notably, authorities are said to have confiscated many documents and more than 40 crore rupees in cash so far.

    The shoe traders were allegedly evading taxes, according to information the department had obtained. Following this, at 3 p.m., officers from the Income Tax Department arrived at the showrooms of the three businessmen and began searching them, removing the shoppers. The raid is ongoing right now. Teams from the income tax department are examining documents and gadgets.
