Guwahati: Indian road safety campaign announced a slogan writing competition on Monday. The slogan competition is based on the National Road Safety 2021 requirements.
More than 13 Lakh people lose their lives each year from traffic accidents. The cases of road accidents are rising each day. In India solely, this number stands at an extensive 1.5 Lakh people per year.
This accident directly affects the individuals injured, their beloved, and the people who know and depend on the victim. Road security is an essential concern that requires consideration.
The Indian Road Safety Campaign is hosting a Slogan Writing Competition to boost awareness and reduce such occurrences.
The slogans for the competition can be written in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam and Odia. These catchwords will then be utilized to promote road safety creatively.
Enacted by the Supreme Court of India on 30th March 2016, The Good Samaritan Law. This law strives to incentivize bystanders to protect road collision victims within the golden hour.

According to the law, the policemen are prevented from involving good Samaritans in an investigation for being witnesses. They are not forced to share their identity and are guarded against civil and criminal charges.
The online submission of the competition slogans begins on October 15, 2021, and closes on November 15, 2021. Any entries received before the opening or after the competition's closing will be unreasonable and will not be inserted into the contest.
Competition listings shall be judged, or winners are chosen based on those standards defined on the competition's official website or social media channels. The winners will be rewarded a cash reward of Rs 5,000/- each.
Applicants submitting the slogans for the competition must make sure that each slogan is not more than eight words. One can also visit the official website and get further details for submission and terms and conditions.
