    Jammu: Army jawan injured after terrorists open fire at Sunjwan military station

    Digital desk: A soldier from the Indian Army was injured on Monday at the Sunjwan military station in Jammu when terrorists opened fire, according to officials. The attackers fired from a stand-off distance outside the base. Further details are yet to be released.

    Earlier, on Thursday, the Indian Army successfully neutralized three terrorists attempting to infiltrate across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Machhal and Tangdhar sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. 

    According to a statement, credible intelligence from various agencies, supported by the J-K Police, had indicated possible infiltration attempts from these areas. In response, troops from the Indian Army, JKP, and BSF set up ambushes along likely infiltration routes.

    On the evening of August 28, suspicious movement was detected, leading to a firefight that continued until early August 29. This operation marks the sixth in the Kupwara district this year, resulting in the deaths of ten terrorists, including some foreign infiltrators.
