    Mukesh Ambani receives Second Death Threat in 2 days, Demands Rs 200 Crore

    According to the police, the email sender increased his demand this time from Rs 20 crore to Rs 200 crore because his first email received no response.



    Digital Desk: Reliance Industries' chairman and managing director, Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani, is among the richest people in the world and the richest person in Asia, but he hasn't been in the headlines recently for the right reasons. An earlier article about the Indian businessman made headlines because someone had threatened to kill him and wanted Rs. 20 crores. After failing to respond to the earlier mail threat, the business tycoon has now received a second death threat in two days, asking to give Rs 200 crore. The police announced on Saturday that Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has received a new death threat via email, threatening to shoot him if he does not pay Rs 200 crore.


    According to the police, the email sender increased his demand this time from Rs 20 crore to Rs 200 crore because his first email received no response.


    Mukesh Ambani Receives A Death Threat Via Letter


    The police claim that Mukesh Ambani got a second email from the same account. The death threat read, “U have not responded to our email now the amount is 200 crores otherwise the death warrant is signed’.” This is the second death threat, as previously stated; the first was received on Friday, October 27, 2023, for Rs 20 crore. As reported by Mumbai police, the threat mail said: “If you don’t give us 20 crore rupees, we will kill you, we have the best shooters in India.”


    Registered Complaint; Investigation Begins


    The Gamdevi Police in south Mumbai filed a case against an unknown person under Sections 387 (putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt to commit extortion) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in response to a complaint from Mukesh Ambani's security in-charge. In an attempt to find the sender of the email, a large manhunt and additional inquiries have been initiated.


    Mukesh Ambani Received Death Threats 

     

    Ambani has previously received death threats. A jeweller was arrested in August 2022 after calling Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and threatening to blow up the entire building. Last year, an unknown caller made similar threats against the industrialist and his family. Additionally, in February 2021, an SUV carrying explosives was discovered near Mukesh Ambani's royal home, Antilia.
