New Delhi: During the 83rd edition of the radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat', Prime Minister Narendra Modi said his goal is only to serve the country and not to be 'in power'.

Additionally, PM Modi added that his duty is to be the people's 'Pradhan Sevak'.

"It gives me satisfaction when I hear that the schemes launched by the government has changed the lives of the people. I never want to be in power now or in the future, my goal is only to serve the people of the country." said PM Modi.

Citing an example of 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas,' the PM asserted, "The Noon river, which came in the verge of extinction created a chaos among the farmers in the area. To fight with the crises, the people formed a committee and revived the river. This an example of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.”

Further, asserting that this is an era of startups, PM Modi claimed that India is leading the world in terms of startups, with more than 70 startups having crossed the valuation of $ 1 billion.

"Startups are getting record investments and this sector is growing fast. Even in the small cities the reach of the startups has increased." he said.

This is a big thing because the country's youth achieved this success during the Covid pandemic, he said.

Moreover, alerting the people of the deadly virus, the PM said that the coronavirus had not gone yet. It is the responsibility of the people to take the necessary precautions.

In the radio programme, Modi spoke to a youngster who put forward a solution to the problem of pollution by introducing a technology that reduces the emission of busses by 40 percent.

The prime minister also noted that Navy Day and Armed Forces Flag Day are celebrated in December, and on December 16, it will be the Golden Jubilee year of the victory in the 1971 War.

"Mann ki Baat" is the prime minister's monthly radio address, broadcast on the last Sunday of every month. The first episode of the programme was broadcast on October 3, 2014.
