    New Year Surprise: Petrol to be cheaper by Rs 25 per litre in this state; check details here

    Digital Desk: In a major relief for the people of Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has announced the reduction of petrol and diesel price by Rs 25 per litre in the state. The reduced prices of fuel shall be applicable from January 26, 2022.





    The benefit will be available to two-wheeler owners only and only BPL cardholders will be able to avail the benefits from January 26, 2022 onwards.

    Tweeting about the same, the Jharkhand CM posted, “There has been a continuous increase in fuel prices, due to which the lower and middle income group has been largely affected by the price hike. To benefit the two income groups, the government has decided to reduce the diesel and petrol prices by Rs 25 per litre. Only owners of two-wheelers and one belonging to the BPL group will be able to avail the benefit of the reduced fuel price.”

    Meanwhile, there has been no change in fuel prices across the country. No changes have been made so far by the state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) for the domestic market.





    Price of petrol in Delhi continues to be at Rs 95.41 per litre, diesel is trading at Rs 86.67 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol is trading at Rs 109.98 per litre. Similarly, diesel is trading at Rs 94.14 per litre.
