Digital Desk: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was assigned its first woman chief Nina Singh, who has been appointed as the Director-General (DG).
Nina Singh, a Rajasthani cadre IPS officer from the 1989 batch, is the Special DG of the CISF at the moment. The directive stated that she has been appointed to the position through her July 31, 2024, superannuation.
As per the NDTV report, Nine Singh joined the CISF in 2021 and would continue to lead the organization until her retirement on July 31st of the following year.
The report further states that Jawaharlal Nehru University and Patna Women's College are among the institutions where Nina Singh, a native of Bihar, attended school. She also has a Harvard University Master's in Public Administration.

Moreover, Anish Dayal Singh, the head of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), was named the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) by the Amit Shah-led Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
Since incumbent S L Thaosen retired on November 30, Anish Dayal Singh, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Manipur cadre and 1988 batch member, has been in charge of the CRPF.
According to the statement, Singh's nomination as DG of the CRPF has been accepted by the Cabinet's Appointments Committee through December 31, 2024, which is also his superannuation date.
In lieu of Singh, Rahul Rasgotra, a special director in the Intelligence Bureau (IB), will lead the ITBP.
According to the order, Rasgotra, an IPS officer of Manipur cadre who was born in 1989, has been appointed to the position through September 30, 2025, which is his superannuation date.
The Director General of the Fire Service, Civil Defense, and Home Guards will be Vivek Srivastava, a Gujarat cadre IPS officer from the 1989 batch.
According to the ruling, he will remain in the position until June 30, 2025, which is the day of his superannuation. Currently, Srivastava works for the IB as a special director.
