In addition to this, the agency has also taken possession of more cars in order to transfer the cash that was confiscated to state government banks.

Digital Desk: Official sources stated on Saturday, December 9, that the income tax department raids on the Odisha-based distillery group and its linked entities are expected to yield up to Rs 290 crore in "unaccounted" cash seizures. This would make the haul of black money by any agency in a single operation the "highest-ever." In an effort to complete the currency note counting process, which started on December 6 as a result of raids on Boudh Distillery Pvt Ltd and other entities, the tax department has employed around 40 large and small equipment. They have also brought in more department and bank staff members.

It is anticipated that the cash counting would be completed by Saturday.
