Digital Desk: On Tuesday evening, Union Minister of Health Mansukh Mandaviya announced that over half of India's population between the ages of 15-18 age group have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
He thanked India's youth and remarked that it was a significant day in the country's fight against Covid-19. Mansukh Mandaviya continued, saying that his "young friends' excitement for immunization" had inspired the rest of India.
"Big day for India's fight against Covid-19! Over 50% of our youngsters between 15-18 age group have received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine. Well done, my young friends! Your enthusiasm for vaccination is inspiring people all over India," he tweeted.

On January 3, when Covid-19 cases began to rise in India, the country launched a vaccination campaign for teenagers aged 15 to 18 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued an announcement to this effect in the last week of December. To date, only

ON MONDAY, Dr. NK Arora told India Today that India will begin immunizing children aged 12 to 14 by March of this year. Dr. Arora is the chairman of the Covid-19 Working Group of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization, which is part of the federal government (NTAGI).
