While, another resident who was imposed Rs 6 lakh by the managing committee said, “The society watchmen follow those members who are feeding the dogs and note down their names. It is then reported to the managing committee, which in turn calculates the fine.”
However, Vinita Srinandan, secretary of the housing complex, refuting all the allegations, stated, “Because of feeding the stray dogs inside the premises, senior citizens and children face problems as the stray dogs move freely inside the campus. Moreover, there is also hygiene problem as these dogs soil the parking space and other areas creating a nuisance.”
“The residents were facing problem to sleep at night as these dogs keep howling during the night hour.” she added.
Further, the secretary claimed that the society had created a specific place inside the society to feed the dogs but, some of the members still feed these animals here and there inside the complex.
