Madhubani: Bihar’s Madhubani police arrested six people, including one woman involved in the kidnapping and murder of 22-year old Journalist Avinash Jha popularly known as Buddhinath.
Reportedly, two of the arrested, identified as Raushan Kumar Sah, who operates a private nursing home in Benipatti and Purnakala Devi, who works as a nurse in a local private clinic, were arrested in link with the murder case.
Benipatti police station official said, “Raushan is operating a private clinic and the case is under investigation.”

The district health officials served notice to ‘Anurag Health care’ and ‘Ananya nursing home’ after a complaint was lodged to the Benipatti police station on November 11 by the deceased elder brother Chandrasekhar Jha, soon after he went missing on November 9.
Moreover, Chandrasekhar Jha also named 11 medical clinics in his complaint, alleging that they were involved in the kidnapping of the journalist.
Madhubani Civil hospital, Sunil Kumar Jha, said, “We often get complaints about unregistered private clinics but Buddhinath was lodging more complaints. He had submitted complaints against 21 private clinics, and all except one were found to violate the rules.”
The police, in a press release, said, “Buddhinath has met Purnakala Devi at Anurag health care. When both were out of the clinic, five persons Raushan Kumar Sah, Bittu Pandit, Deepak Pandit, Pawan Kumar Pandit and Manish Kumar, kidnapped Avinash Jha.
Avinash Jha a resident of Benipatti, was an RTI activist who used to run a Facebook page called ‘BNN News Benippatti’. On November 12, his charred body was recovered five kilometres away from his house.
