Subramanian Swamy’s Contention Over PM and Rahul’s Farmer’s Protest Entry
Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi is likely to join the farmers' protest soon.

Digital Desk: Dr Subramanian Swamy attacks Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a foreign visit to UAE and Qatar when India is witnessing an unprecedented farmer’s protest. Heavy restrictions and barricades have been seen on the borders of Delhi to forbid farmers from entering the capital ahead of the protest.

BJP leader Swamy takes on X to express his concern, he says, “Is it proper for the Prime Minister to be absent from the country when not only a General Election is imminent but a serious uprising near New Delhi of Punjab farmers could become violent and be a blow-up. Modi must understand a PM’s priorities and not be galavanting now.”

Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi is likely to join the farmers' protest soon. Rahul Gandhi promising the farmers tweeted on Tuesday, “Congress has decided to give a legal guarantee of MSP to every farmer on crops as per the Swaminathan Commission..” He further said that the step would change “the lives of 15 crore farmer families by ensuring their prosperity.”

Beginning on February 3 and lasting until February 5, Rahul travelled from Pakur, Godda, and Dhanbad to Ramgarh and Ranchi before continuing to Odisha as part of the first stage of the Yatra in Jharkhand. Rahul was scheduled to visit the districts of Palamu and Garhwa on Wednesday in the second phase, during which he was anticipated to speak to the public on a variety of topics, including the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, as reported by the IndianExpress.

Rakesh Tikait, as quoted by ANI, says, "MSP guarantee law and Swaminathan Committee report, Electricity amendment bill and debt waiver are the issues of the farmers across the country. There are several farmer unions and they have different issues...If the Govt creates a problem for these farmers who are marching towards Delhi, we are not far from them...We are in support of them."
