    Veteran BJP leader Chandupatla Janga Reddy passes away
    Digital Desk: On a sad note, Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Chandupatla Janga Reddy passed away in Hyderabad on Saturday morning. The leader was suffering from health issues. He took his last breath at the age of 86.

    BJP leader Reddy breathed his last at KIMS Hospital Kondapur in Hyderabad at around 6 am. Due to health crises, he was undergoing treatment at the hospital for four to five days. 

    Reddy hailed from Warangal and was one of the two BJP MPs elected to the Lok Sabha in 1984. He was also a former MLA in Andhra Pradesh. 

    Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and several other political chiefs condoled Reddy's demise.

    PM Modi took to his Twitter and wrote," Shri C Janga Reddy Garu devoted his life to public service. He was an integral part of the efforts to take the Jana Sangh and BJP to new heights of success. He made a place in the hearts and minds of several people. He also motivated many Karyakartas. Saddened by his demise."

    The thread added, "Shri C Janga Reddy Garu was an effective voice for the BJP at a very critical phase of the Party's trajectory. Spoke to his son and expressed condolences. Om Shanti."

    Sources also stated that Janga Reddy was active in public life since his student days. He also participated in different agitations, including the Ram Janmabhooomi movement.
