Comedian Samay Raina Deletes All Videos Of 'India's Got Latent' Amid Controversy

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also expressed his disappointment regarding the matter. Several FIRs were filed against Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija.

Digital Desk: Days after a massive controversy over a clip from the YouTube show India's Got Latent, comedian Samay Raina deleted all the videos from his YouTube channel on Wednesday. A raging controversy erupted after an episode featuring YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia made a controversial statement on parents and sex.

Taking to Instagram, Samay said that it was "too much for me to handle". He added that he would comply with the authorities to ensure their inquiries into the controversy.

In an Instagram story, he wrote, "Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India's Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you."

Ranveer Allahbadia, with over 16 million followers across social media platforms, shared an apology video through Instagram and said that he shouldn't have said what he said in the YouTube show. Apologizing for his comments, he added that it was inappropriate and not at all funny. As comedy was not his skill, so he would not give any justification or reasoning for his mistake, but using the social media platform just to apologize, he added.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also expressed his disappointment regarding the matter. Several FIRs were filed against Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija. Ranveer and Samay were summoned by the Mumbai police as part of the investigation.

Samay Raina's upcoming shows in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Surat on April 17, 18, 19, and 20 have been canceled as BookMyShow stopped the ticket booking option following the controversy.
