Digital Desk: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its Sankalp Patra (manifesto) for the 2024 Indian general elections, titled "Modi ki Guarantee Sankalp Patra." The manifesto, which focuses on the theme of "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India), outlines the party's vision for the country and highlights the achievements of the BJP government in the previous ten years.
"The entire country waits for the BJP's 'Sankalp Patra'. There is a big reason behind it as in the last 10 years, the BJP has implemented every point of its manifesto as a guarantee on the ground. This 'Sankalp Patra' empowers all the 4 strong pillars of developed India- Youth, women, poor and farmers," Narendra Modi said at the launch event.
In a letter to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised the importance of the collective aspirations and goals of the nation, stating that the ‘Sankalp Patra’ is more than just a collection of promises. He highlighted the significant transformation that the nation has witnessed in the last ten years, with the mantra "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas" guiding the government's actions.
The manifesto includes specific guarantees for various sections of society, such as farmers, women, youth, and senior citizens. It promises to continue the efforts to make India a top global economy, improve the quality of life for all citizens, and ensure the country's security and cultural preservation.
Among the key promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the manifesto are:
1. Healthcare for Senior Citizens: PM Modi promised to bring all people above 75 within the purview of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, ensuring free healthcare for the elderly.
2. Free Ration Scheme: The Prime Minister guaranteed the continuation of the free ration scheme for the next five years, providing essential food items to the needy.
3. MUDRA Yojana: Modi announced an increase in the limit of loans under MUDRA Yojana to ₹20 lakh from ₹10 lakh, aiming to support small businesses and entrepreneurs.
4. Zero Electricity Bills: The BJP promised to reduce the electricity bills of crores of families to zero, ensuring affordable energy for all.
5. Bullet Trains: PM Modi announced the introduction of three more bullet trains and three types of Vande Bharat trains, enhancing the country's transportation infrastructure.
6. One Nation, One Election: The BJP reiterated its commitment to the idea of simultaneous elections and the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), aiming to streamline the electoral process and promote national unity.
7. Infrastructure Development: The party pledged to strengthen social, digital, and physical infrastructure, focusing on education, healthcare, highways, railways, airways, waterways, and digital networks.
8. Transgender Community: The BJP decided to bring the transgender community under the ambit of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, ensuring their access to quality healthcare.
