    Ri Bhoi: Backward Meghalaya District achieves milestone in MBOSE Higher Secondary Results

    Ri Bhoi District has attained a commendable passing percentage of 79.9% in the Science


    Digital Desk: In a remarkable achievement for Ri Bhoi District, the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has released the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate results for the Science and Commerce streams, showcasing an impressive passing percentage.

     

    According to the official statistics provided by MBOSE, Ri Bhoi District has attained a commendable passing percentage of 79.9% in the Science stream and 79.17% in the Commerce stream, reflecting a notable improvement in educational standards within the district.

     

    Highlighting the individual accomplishments within Ri Bhoi, Jagjot Singh Nongtdu, a diligent student hailing from Alpha English Higher Secondary School, has secured a remarkable 87.6% in the Commerce stream, earning the prestigious 10th position. Expressing his gratitude towards his teachers and parents, Nongtdu credited their unwavering support and guidance for his academic success.

     

    In response to the outstanding performance of its students, W. Blah, the Principal of Alpha English Higher Secondary School, lauded the relentless efforts and dedication exhibited by the students. He emphasised the pivotal role of collaborative efforts between educators and students in achieving such commendable results.

     

    Smti Paidolyne Lyngdoh Nonglait, the District School Education Officer of Ri Bhoi, expressed her delight over the district's achievement in the MBOSE Higher Secondary results. Addressing the press, Nonglait remarked that this milestone signifies an important step forward for education in Ri Bhoi, a district that has been striving to catch up with the educational standards set across Meghalaya.

     

    The Class 12 examinations for Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams in Meghalaya commenced on March 1, 2024, and concluded on March 27, 2024. These exams were held in a single session from 10 am to 1 pm at various centres throughout the state, with vocational subject exams scheduled from 10 am to 11 am.

     

    On May 8, 2024, the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) officially declared the results for Class 12 or Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examinations for Commerce, Science, and Vocational streams. Out of the total of 3,811 students who appeared for the Science stream, 3,210 students, comprising 85.24%, successfully cleared the examination. In the Commerce stream, the pass percentage stands at 80.26%, with 1,935 out of 2,441 students emerging successful.
