Digital Desk: The BJP today confirmed that 38 parties will attend the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting in Delhi on Tuesday, in what is expected to be a massive show of strength. The meeting comes in the backdrop of 26 opposition parties meeting in Bengaluru to challenge the ruling BJP at the center.

With less than a year until the key 2024 elections, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the challenger again, both the opposition and the BJP are tweaking their strategies and reaching out to allies.

During a press conference, BJP President JP Nadda stated that the NDA's reach and scope had grown over the years.

The BJP chief said that there is a lot of enthusiasm because of the positive impact of the Narendra Modi government's projects and schemes.

The NDA meeting will feature a slew of old and new BJP allies as the ruling party has worked tirelessly in recent weeks and months to forge new alliances and reclaim those who have quit from the ruling coalition.

Over the weekend, OP Rajbhar, the leader of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, announced his intention to join the NDA. Rajbhar, who was influential among OBC voters in eastern Uttar Pradesh before leaving the NDA in 2019, had been one of the BJP's most vociferous detractors.

JP Nadda has also invited another OBC leader in Bihar, Chirag Paswan, son of former union minister and senior OBC leader late Ram Vilas Paswan, to the massive NDA meeting in Delhi.
