Digital Desk: The Opposition INDIA alliance's leaders will gather in Mumbai on Thursday, August 31, for a two-day conference. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Congress, and Shiv Sena (UBT) have formed the Maha Vikas Aghadi, which has established several committees to arrange various parts of the meeting of the opposition grouping.
As many as 63 delegates from 28 political parties will attend the third INDIA alliance conference on August 31 and September 1, according to NCP chairman Sharad Pawar, who announced on Wednesday. The first INDIA bloc meeting took place in Patna in June, while the second occurred in Bengaluru in the middle of July. On Wednesday, Nana Patole, the president of the Maharashtra Congress, stated that seat distribution in INDIA would be based on the success of the various parties in the several states. This will be discussed at upcoming sessions, according to Nana Patole.
Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, and Lalu Prasad Yadav, the leader of the RJD, landed in Mumbai on Tuesday night. According to a Mumbai Congress source, leaders from the southern states should arrive in Mumbai by Wednesday night.
The opposition parties have united to oppose the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which is led by PM Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and stop it from gaining a third consecutive term in power at the centre in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Uddhav Thackeray, chief of the Shiv Sena (UBT), claimed that all supporters of India came together as the INDIA bloc. "Every country lover is here. To save Bharat Mata is our mission here. We oppose political games and authoritarian systems. According to the direction the INDIA bloc is taking, the centre will begin providing petrol cylinders for free. The Centre itself is running on gas. The forces of oppression must be resisted," he said.
D Raja, a leader of the CPI, also arrived in Mumbai and stated that the country must be saved by removing the BJP.
"Since we've had enough discussion about the concerns, it will be a step forward. The next task on the agenda, in my opinion, will be to develop our programs and interact with people.
The BJP has to be removed in the upcoming elections. The BJP must be ousted if we are to have any chance of saving the country and its future, he said. Union Minister Arjun Munda targeted the INDIA bloc, claiming that this coalition is focusing its efforts on figuring out how to destabilise the government.
On Wednesday, the Aam Admi Party (AAP) made it clear that Arvind Kejriwal is not in the race for prime minister. Arvind Kejriwal is not a candidate for the position of prime minister, according to Delhi Minister Atishi on Wednesday.
In response to Priyanka Kakkar, the national spokesperson for the AAP, saying that Kejriwal might make a great prime minister for the country, Atishi stated, "This might be the chief spokesperson's personal opinion. However, Arvind Kejriwal has no stake in the election for prime minister. The INDIA coalition includes AAP because India needs to be saved right now. "The nation, its government, and its democracy must be saved. I therefore declare that Arvind Kejriwal is not running for prime minister," she added.
