Chouhan's remarks underscore the ongoing ideological clash between the BJP and Congress, invoking ancient mythology...
Digital Desk: In a fiery exchange in the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan aimed Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, referencing the Mahabharat epic to criticize his recent remarks. Without directly naming Gandhi, Chouhan condemned what he described as references to 'chakravyuh' in modern-day discourse, labeling them as symbols of "adharm" or unrighteousness.
Chouhan highlighted, "Even when he referred to the Mahabharat, he recalled Shakuni, Chausar, Chakravyuh, and all these words are linked to unrighteousness. Jaki rahi bhavna jaisi, prabhu murat dekhi tin taisi."
He continued by casting Shakuni as a symbol of deceit and betrayal, questioning why the Congress party consistently associates itself with such negative connotations.
The former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh emphasized that whenever the BJP invokes the Mahabharat, they align it with Lord Krishna, a symbol of righteousness and justice.
Chouhan's critique follows Rahul Gandhi's recent speech in Parliament, where he likened the current political scenario to the 'chakravyuh' from the Mahabharat, suggesting a complex trap orchestrated by six prominent figures including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Gandhi's speech, which drew strong reactions and protests in Parliament, saw him naming specific individuals and entities allegedly involved in what he termed as a modern-day 'chakravyuh'. However, the names of industrialists mentioned by Gandhi were expunged from the official record following a ruling by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Responding to the controversy, Rahul Gandhi tweeted about potential repercussions from government agencies, implying his statements may have triggered a negative response.
Chouhan's remarks underscore the ongoing ideological clash between the BJP and Congress, invoking ancient mythology to critique contemporary political rhetoric. As debates intensify in the political arena, references to historical and mythological narratives continue to shape the discourse, reflecting deeper ideological divisions within Indian politics.
